Welcome to Steve Fearns Counselling.

Sometimes life can be a challenge. You may be struggling with situations or relationships that are causing you some distress.

As a counsellor, I will help you to explore your problems in a safe and confidential space. Together, we will look at different coping strategies and techniques, and also consider any unresolved issues that may be going on for you. Our sessions together can help to bring about the change you seek as well as giving you a greater understanding of the difficulties you currently face and ultimately, arrive at a place that is more balanced and peaceful

I strongly believe in the potential of counselling and as such I take seriously the commitment to support you in finding your own solutions.

I have worked in the field of alcohol and drug misuse since 2005 and have been a practising counsellor for a counselling charity since I qualified in 2017.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN A COUNSELLING SESSION
Following an initial assessment with me where we both decide if counselling is an appropriate way forward of support, I will offer weekly 50 minute counselling sessions.

The focus of these sessions will be on you and what you would like to talk about. I will listen to you with acceptance, warmth and understanding and provide a unique safe space where you can explore your difficulties with compassion & curiosity and without judgement.

I work from my house in a quiet road in Harrietsham, which is a picturesque village that lies on the lower slopes of the North Downs, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. about 7 miles from Maidstone and about 12 miles from Ashford.
